Absolutely delicious! I tried the Wiener Schnitzel and bratwurst combo, and it was fantastic. The menu features a wide variety of traditional German, Polish, and Czech dishes. Interestingly, their homemade desserts aren't listed, but I highly recommend trying them—make room for it! We ate only half of our meals so we could save space for dessert. What Renaye V doesn't like about Golden Europe:
I liked the restaurant but not sure if I would go back. Our server was nice, but hurried. When we got there it wasn't that busy, not enough for her to rush us when ordering. So much so we couldn't even as questions. I got the horseradish schnitzel, it was very potent! You have to love horseradish to order this. I have to say the red cabbage was the best I've ever had. I wish all the best for you and your family! I will miss you and your amazing food immensely! This has always been my favorite restaurant in Colorado! There's no more schnitzel or duck.
Unfortunately, the Golden Europe has permanently closed as of May 28th. The owners are retiring, and Denver could really use more German restaurants!
This restaurant was a special spot for my boyfriend and me to celebrate significant moments in our lives. Golden Europe felt like a home away from home, a warm and inviting place where every dish was prepared with love. You could really tell that these recipes had been passed down and were crafted with care each day. I’m truly saddened that last night was my final visit to experience the Palla family's cooking. I will always cherish the wonderful memories I created here with the person who means the most to me. Thank you for being a source of comfort for the past 11 years. Also, could I please get the recipe for the liver dumpling soup? Thank you.
