I have enjoyed many delightful Sunday afternoons with my children at this restaurant. They absolutely love walking along the shore and climbing the banks. When they’re feeding the ducks, they never forget to bring their breadcrumbs, as there are plenty of birds around. It's also a fantastic spot for a picnic. While the paddle boats can be a bit pricey, the kids have a blast. My daughters even took it upon themselves... View all feedback.
Came here for a lunch with 2 friends on a Friday afternoon. The weather was lovely and there were a few people milling around the lake feeding the ducks. We have reserved a table as you never know how busy places are going to be but it looked like we didn't need to. If you don't like flappy birds this is probably not the place for you but I loved. We ordered a variety of yumminess. One friend had the Welsh Rarebit with a little bottle of wine, another had a cream tea and some wine and I had some halloumi fries, a wine and a cherry scone. All were delicious. The cream was a bit overwhipped maybe, but everything else was spot on. The halloumi fries were absolutely delicious. Could've eaten them all day! They had some magic sauce and pomegranate seeds and chili flakes and yep awesome. Total bill came to around £50 in total.
Very popular place for all age groups. feeding and booting seems to be the favorite here. at the far end of the mill road is a limited parking space. my enkelin loves it. there is a clue for some fantastic walks around the Arundel property from here, but some of the hills could be a little for some! there is a beautiful walk around the lake when they go left to the north side. beautiful picnic area and tea/coffee facilities. the wetland centre is a few meters on the road that is worth a visit.
Took no and neffen for the afternoon on the lake, what had fun we had to feed. eis and tee zu-wow ice cream! boot cheap enough to rent. beautiful environment. went too well into the lock. beautiful walks around and down to the river or along the river. children have been amusing all the way away, just keep them away from the river! the sea is a must:
This is a realy beautiful well preserved castle with over a 1000 years of history behind it.Situated 4 miles north of Littlehampton midway between Chichester and Worthing it's very easy to get to.It's so easy to spend a day not just looking round the castle but there's also the gardens and the lake. The admission fee of £13 adults and £7.50 children (although family tickets are available) is worth the money.I can't wait to go back.
Lovely place to visit and walk around love the scenery and nature. You can purposefully get lost in the trees, hills, sheep, water, etc.
