Contribute Feedback What Martijn P likes about Black Rabbit Pub Arundel:
A nice, classic pub, ideally situated if you're walking around the Arundel wetlands about the halfway point. There's picknick tables outside with a brilliant nature view, while the pub's inside looked pretty fancy. An excellent spot for hikers (and their dogs) to enjoy a well deserved drink. One word of warning for parents: I did not see any playground stuff, and there is a (very quiet, but public) road between the p... View all feedback.
What Abigail Hunt doesn't like about Black Rabbit Pub ARUNDEL:
The Black Rabbit was highly recommended to us. Regards the views it was deserving of the recommendation. Food was good on the whole. Service consists of paying in advance for the food and drinks. I had to take my own drinks to my table. We asked for a table inside only to be told that all the tables were reserved, 12 tables. Their last food order was at 21.30. We sat outside under an awning so as not to get wet from... View all feedback.
I reserved an indoor table just in case of bad weather, and it turned out to be a wise decision! This charming pub features a spacious parking lot and ample covered outdoor seating. The outdoor area is situated right next to the River Arun, which would have been fantastic if the weather had cooperated. The menu offers a variety of options, including gluten-free and vegetarian dishes. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and there’s a wide selection of drinks available. A unique attraction is the boat from "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone," which is displayed at the entrance to the indoor dining area. The pub is about a 10-minute walk from the Wildfowl Wetlands.
It's been a while since our last visit—before our little one was born, in fact. The food is still wonderful, and the service is excellent, all in a beautiful location. My son was thrilled to sit in Harry Potter's boat, which made his day! Happy kids? Check! It would be fantastic to have a public launch for paddleboards and kayaks as well. My wife has always loved your ploughman’s lunch. We’ll definitely be back soon. Just one small suggestion: the delicious tomato and pepper soup could use a chunk of bread instead of a slice. Sorry to be picky!
This is a fantastic pub in a prime location. It features a riverside beer garden and outdoor dining areas perfect for summer. Inside, the atmosphere is traditional yet modern and clean. The food smelled wonderful, but the prices were a bit steep for my taste, so I opted for a pint and a rather empty bag of crisps instead. I found the prices to be a bit too high; £7.40 for a pint and a half-full bag of crisps feels excessive, so I decided to leave after just two. However, the location is great, with lovely walking paths along the river leading into town. It's a nice spot for spending the day.
This was our second visit; we had previously stopped by for a drink and enjoyed it, so we decided to book a dinner. The staff were incredibly accommodating, providing my wife, who is celiac, with a gluten-free menu. The food and drinks were delicious, and we had a wonderful time. The pub is situated right next to the river, making it a fantastic venue. The interior is also quite charming, and we adored it. The staff were excellent, and the place seems to be quite popular. We would definitely recommend it!
This is one of the most stunning places I've ever had lunch. I returned to Arundel solely to visit this pub again. The food was delicious and served promptly.
