The restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious food at reasonable prices, with vegan options available. Despite some complaints about unfriendly staff and cramped space due to smelly dogs, the overall experience seems positive for most visitors. The cafe is praised for its friendly atmosphere, yummy cakes, and accommodating staff. Guests appreciate the lovely setting and extensive range of food and drink options. While some mention a wait for service, the homemade soup is highlighted as outstanding. Overall, the restaurant is recommended for a pleasant visit, with excellent afternoon tea and a helpful staff.

Love this place! We often stop here, as it is part way through our country walk. The staff are very friendly, the cakes and milkshakes are really yummy. Would definitely recommend!

Take away coffees waiting 20 minutes is a joke you either pay for more staff or people that work a bit quicker won't be returning.

This is just a quick post to mention that I waited for thirty minutes and eventually left because no one acknowledged me, let alone served me. I recommend avoiding this place on a Sunday morning.

Lovely small local place, very friendly staff and super shop with daily essentials. I have been a few times after walks with my friends for a quick lunch and have been most impressed with quality of the food available, especially the homeade soup which is outstanding. The lady that makes the soup really should consider making it available in the shop to take home!

I went to this restaurant on 17/09 with two friends and a dog, and I was immediately impressed by the wide variety of food and cakes available. The prices were incredibly reasonable as well! As a vegan, I ordered a jacket potato with baked beans, which came with a delicious, large salad. I was even able to have vegan cheese on the beans! Along with a pot of tea, the total bill came to less than £10, which was amazing! The meal was absolutely delicious and the tea even came with soya milk, which was a nice extra touch. The staff were excellent, very patient and friendly. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside, as well as a little shop. I will definitely be returning in the future.
