Whenever we are near Gaskyns we make a point of going in. It’s on the “wrong” side of the river so most people dont know it’s there, but it’s well worth the extra couple of yards to get there! The Spanish breakfast on wholemeal is absolutely gorgeous! View all feedback.

What frankieDorking dislikes about Gaskyns Wholefoods:
Wot no chicken!Opted for their all-day breakfast that £8.95 was, I thought, a tad too expensive but possibly reflects the catchment area and the tourist hotspot though on the day of my visit not exactly mobbed. Now the breakfast, for me, was a bit odd, or at least part of it was.Having had an Irish Mother I was brought up on black and white pudding that each have distinct flavours and textures. The one solitary sample... Just over the bridge, and therefore away from the main tourist beat, this place has to be just that bit better, and it is. Spotlessly clean with chirpy staff, picture gallery and small terrace, it ensured that we will revisit next time that we are in Arundel. There is one outside table on the pavement at the front, and it was this that attracted us initially to the place..

We visited as a family of 5 whilst on the way to the Arundel festival and arrived late morning. The breakfast/lunch menu looked ok and the staff were nice but the food was poor. The mushrooms with the breakfast were dried instead of fried and the offered poached eggs were not available and the fried alternative not cooked properly. I wasn’t convinced that the bacon was cooked properly either. If this is just been one plate it might have been a mistake but all our meals were poor. Disappointing.

Based just off Arundel town centre, Gaskyns is a friendly casual cafe/ restaurant with lovely food and nice friendly staff. Prices reflect its close proximity to both Arundel Castle and other attractions but won’t disappoint your palate. Would highly recommend when visiting the area.

Dont feel comfortable whenever we go in here, our two year old was playing and member of staff looked at him as though he was doing wrong. go in here because food is good and good for child most of the time. staff need to be more friendly so we dont feel as though we are putting them out.

Great place for good coffee. Staff friendly and helpful. One came round and offered us newspapers. Comfortable couches and free wifi. Homemade cakes look a real treat, going to have some next time. An attached store has gourmet foods and goods to take out.
