Incredible hospitality and amazing food. We had silor, sarma, muhlama, karalahana yemegi, fresh baked bread, cay, and fresh hazelnuts for dessert. Highly recommended! View all feedback.
I don't normally write reviews, but I had to review Tülay's place. Tülay wasn't there, but her sweet-spoken, lovely husband Arif welcomed us. The taste of the Georgian dumplings was undeniable. I can't even count how many of their warm breads we ate fresh from the oven. If you ever find yourself in Borçka Karagöl, be sure to stop by. And let's not forget when she ran after us to bring us hazelnuts just as we were about to get in the car. Thank you for your clean heart...
The dolma and local dumplings are excellent, definitely worth trying.
If you find yourself on the road to Karagöl in Borçka, be sure to have your breakfast here. Cheeses, honey, butter, jams, molasses, all made by Tülay Hanım's hands. During our trip to the Black Sea, we had our first taste of muhlama: Fresh mint, parsley, peppers, and tomatoes straight from the field... The people are so warm and welcoming. It is an authentic place that will make you feel the soul of the region. Moreover, you have the opportunity to buy fresh hazelnuts gathered from their gardens. We strongly recommend it for families!
