Great place to grab some food. The salad bar has different type of salads, veggies and even pudding. And the food itself tasted very good. I ordered the tilapia. The service was great, but we were charged a higher tip then we left. Not sure if it was done by mistake, so I'm not deducting a star, but check your credit card statement after or just leave cash. The place looked closed but don't let it fool you, they most likely are open during regular times.

Salad bar is the best in town, if happens that you stop by Artesia, NM you must to stop and eat here, great food Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20

This restaurant is truly a gem. The dinner included a fantastic salad bar featuring two types of lettuce and around twenty different toppings. You could also choose from crab salad, potato salad, pasta salad, and fruit. Plus, there were two soups on offer; I tried the pinto bean soup. The catfish was some of the best I've ever tasted, while my wife opted for the chopped steak. I also enjoyed some delicious grilled squash. The service was excellent, and it was clear that the staff loved their jobs; they really made us feel welcome. We sat at a table on a wooden platform with white rope lights overhead. I will definitely not be back. My cousin didn't even eat half of his meal because he did not like it. My cousin's wife said that her meal was cool meaning not hot. As for my meal my fried catfish was not cooked all the way through and definitely not hot. When we got there we had to wait 15-20 minutes to be seated and then had to wait for a while for the waitress to even get our drink order. I understand that a lot of places are having issues with even having enough help but it was Friday night and they were not busy. Actually drove to Artesia to go to La Fonda but they were closed. If we had known how bad our experience would be I for one would of went back to Carlsbad. Bad food and horrible service.
