The only item I wouldn’t order again is the salty lassi; it was way too salty for my taste. Everything else was absolutely delicious!

Their Long Island drinks are a must-try! We had the Chicken Curry and the Ashoka The Great, along with Garlic Naan. I can't remember all the names of the dishes, but I hope the photos help you recognize them. Enjoy! Update: The lamb in the Ashoka is simply delicious!

BTW their buffet prices for lunch and dinner prices are a great value for the number of hot dishes and desserts you can try, much better than ordering a la carte. The naan $1.49) and garlic naan $1.99) are cut into four pieces each and go well with the chicken tikka masala $10.99) and saag paneer $8.99). It contains a good amount of chicken in the tikka masala, and few cheese cubes in the saag paneer. I went with mild for the spice level and would love to try spicy/extra spicy levels next time. I would rate this below Saffron Indian Restaurant. Ashoka is more comparable to the nearby The Indian Restaurant, which offers a buffet service pre-covid) for a great price. The carryout a la carte dishes are not the same as experiencing these Indian buffets. Looking forward to returning here and few other Indian buffets in Little India.
