Courtepaille - Artenay

We stop in the shorts. the reception is always nice, so we stop early to not wait. even if overall the benefits are a little low (I pass on the little salad served for free that seems to be old story. in this short, the reception is particularly professional and attentive. I ordered a menu but the dessert offered was not available, I was offered to choose another equivalent dessert offered to the top card! Thank you.

We've eaten at many Courtepaille restaurants over the years to the point that when my husband was in France with his colleague for business they would book a hotel based on where a Courtepaille was, order the goats cheese salad followed by the Cote de Boeuf for 2. This restaurant chain has gone downhill... This restaurant in Artenay was awful. We were the first to arrive for dinner. About 4/5 other tables followed after. My husband ordered the goats cheese wrapped in bacon on a bed of lettuce and i ordered the vegetable soup please look at my photo to see what these dishes are supposed to look like and what they really looked like lol! After my husband had the Cote de Boeuf for 1 (they don't do it for 2 anymore so we couldn't share) and i had the salmon which i asked for well done. I had to send my salmon back it was given back to me 5 minutes later by which time the chips and green beans were now cold. To be honest we just wanted to eat and go especially as there was a table not too far away from us which had a couple with their 2 kids the mother spent the whole meal telling her daughter off and then moved her to another table and told her to sit there until on her own until she could learn to behave herself. We've been through the young kids stage but in public... really!! It was embarrassing they were rude and loud. Back to the restaurant... i've given it a 1 rating purely because the service was ok rien de plus! We should have looked at the reviews before eating there it's going to be a long time before we go back to a Courtepaille that's for sure!

Good value for money. Very well grilled. avoid the salad: very bitter. very pleasant and efficient staff.
