I had dinner at the Roadkill Cafe on Saturday evening, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the service was excellent. I also learned about an upcoming color night that my cousin and I are planning to attend in September. When rating a place like this that's off the beaten path, comps are important. It must be made clear that there is also a distinction in rating between breakfast and everything else. For the location breakfast deserves a 3 star but lunch and dinner is predictable American rest stop food fare. It's worth it to come early and get a simple hearty breakfast. This was very special. My father and I were really in to road kill cafe growing up but didn't realize it was real. Sadly my dad passed away before I realized it was real restaurant. So as soon realize it was real we made arrangements to go it was 2 day drive but worth it. The food was great staff amazing. Got 2 shirts as well. Just passing through and decided to stop and boy was I glad I did! Hands down one of my now top cheesesteaks, too bad I don’t live out that way! Also got the roast beef sandwich and was more than pleased with the real beef and great gravy. Also what friendly staff I came in just before close and got fantastic service.
