This is a popular place with locals and tourists and we could see why. Great food, the couple who run it are great characters and as a tourist, you get a chance to mix with the locals. Altogether a very enjoyable visit. View all feedback.
What Martin Valentin doesn't like about Cafe restaurant de l'univers:
Lovely walled patio, cool and welcoming after a very hot summers at sightseeing in Avignon. Pleasant waitress. My husband had cote due boef, which he said was nice but quite chewy. My choice, the Portuguese plate which consisted of slices off a large calamar leg i think was tasty, although also chewy and some of the potato's underneath were dry. Nice wine. View all feedback.
A few tables on a terrace located on the esplanade of the town hall of Arpaillargues, this café-restaurant is a nice discovery. limited card with fresh products (the gambas were really delicious), mini prices, and service. Family enough (the boss is worth the detour to her alone). We had a very pleasant evening.
We chose this restaurant after reading the reviews. we went there on Friday, August 11 for dinner. it was fresh and we asked to install ourselves inside, which did not pose a problem. This restaurant is "the family." Shut up. but all without altering the atmosphere. curiosity, we didn't have a card, which makes us not know in advance the price of what we chose. to the views of the opinions we chose to trust. We took a bottle of rosé (counseled by the boss), grilled gambas for my companion and a blue beef piece for me followed by a red fruit pie and a chocolate panacota and a coffee. we have enjoyed all these dishes made of fresh ingredients and cooked home. at the time of payment, suspense. 69,40€, quite connected with what we had eaten, and which could decompose it so, 25€ x 2 for the meal, 18€ for the wine and 1,40€ for the coffee! during your next visit, ask if I saw just ;)
Under its ordinary garden of village coffee open 7 days a week, this tobacco bar restaurant on the town square hides a huge surprising, relaxing, shaded, full of charm, away from tourism. large trees, large stone walls, games for small ones. Nothing overrated, you suddenly think of yourself as a sprawl, a beautiful or a berlin summer. home dishes are hearty, Mediterranean-inspired, delicious tapas, salads too. Seiche ink pasta is particularly successful and copied. the value ratio is excellent. without sophistication or pretention, but a family kitchen, with a true sense of reception and a good child atmosphere. precious of authenticity, in this tourist village where the addition is often salted, without reason.
That to say.... welcome, kindness, quality of the dishes, a beautiful terrace under the trees that ask more. everything was authentic and warm even the evening end shared with bernard ,valerie (the bosses) and their friends.Signed: gérard alias the port'o col.
Good food! Special services, good place for everyone... with or without children!
