First walked in because it seemed just that little more personal and loved than most. I wasn't wrong. The charming chef talked us through her menu, from which I chose the Thai fish cakes. They were presented on the freshest, crunchiest salad I've had in a long time, along a pretty mini jug of dressing. The cakes were well balanced in the flavours. What jap1023 doesn't like about The Bistro:
Shane it's closed. All the awnings and furnishings gone they must gave retired When we were there in April was closed but awnings etc still there was close to where the building collapsed View all feedback.
We stopped in for a meal prior to some hotel entertainment. One meal was spot on a nice fettuccini with clams and cava sauce. The other was a salmon dish but was unfortunately overcooked. Both meals were well presented. Service was very good.

The bistro is a wonderful place to eat. Sadly the last time we went it was closed. Mike are you now open. Pat Mark. Jean and Audrey

My mango smoothie/Cointreau cocktail was my guilty treat.j The menu is on the carefully prepared English theme, and so far everything brought to the table is deserving of the highest praise. Definitely give the Sunday roast specials a try, I know I will.
Stumbled upon this place by chance, and in short very glad we did. Was there for their Saturday steak night which was exceptional value. Their Chorizo Garlic bread starter that was on the specials board was also very tasty. Waitress was telling us she had been there 8 years, and was everything a waitress should be. Well worth a visit.
