What Anonym dislikes about Raymond:
low amounts, staff service well, regular cooking quality. Please, a ration of shrimp to shrimp are not 3 shrimps and 6 garlics, or lower the price or amount of increase. it was a success to reform the premises, put a sliding door. it needs more spirit of cozy place, capturing fixed clientele and you win with good menu and good price. Excellent food. Excellent service. Travelled across the island and it was so with it. Paella is the best ever

We love Raymond’s and have had another fabulous evening, with the best paella and amazing service. Already looking forward to our next visit

Excellent tapas! Thinly sliced pork in olive oil and black pepper is a treat. Garlic prawns perfectly cooked. Generous portion of tasty Spanish tortilla (could have been hotter). The Juanito is a big meal, eclectic mix, would feed 2 people, sadly the fries were like warm, not fresh at all. Canarian potatoes good, nice to be offered the option not to have extra salt. Good house red, friendly service, excellent cafe con leche. Paella seemed to be a favourite on other tables. Well worth a visit!

Eaten here for 25 years always have the paella which was amazing. I noticed that the staff had all changed. The mixed paella was a huge disappointment, had an overwhelming amount of rice very little else. The key ingredient should be saffron which gives the dish the wonderful golden yellow colour distinctive taste. This paella was tomato based When I asked what had happened to the paella if the restaurant was under new ownership, he confirmed it was but the chef was the same. If this is true, then the chef has been instructed to use inferior ingredients to save money. How often does this happen?! Now trading on Raymond’s past glory. End of an era of excellence. Expensive ordinary.

Typical Spanish bar, locals sitting having drinks and staff very friendly. Best paella in town without a doubt. Not posh but perfect!
