Kvegan - Arona

Absolutely loved eating that we had from here. the best meal of our holiday by far, only a scandal that we leave it until the last day to try.

Spent quite a bit of time trying to track down this small eaterie which is tucked away on the first floor of the passarela shopping centre, arriving about 10 mins after they were advertised as opening, but the two chaps behind he counter were still...working away and didn’t look at me or show any sign they were serving, so I sat down and waited but eventually went to the counter and asked if they were serving, one of them answered me quite impatiently, shrugged his arms and indicated yes, but didn’t seem to want to help me understand the dishes and I felt like I was inconveniencing him. The ‘sample’ dishes on show on the counter looked a bit sad. My hubby was not impressed by the service and I felt like walking away, but having spent some time trying to track down the place I wanted to persevere and give them our custom, so I chose some of the dishes advertised and he went ahead to make them in front of me which was nice to see. Freshly prepared dishes to take away. At no time did either of them even give me the slightest hint of a smile or make me feel like they wanted to serve me. I hoped that the food would be worth it, but disappointing to report that it wasn’t that great, it was ok, but to be honest the 3 different dishes all tasted fairly similar and fairly heavy with soy sauce, the seaweed meatballs a bit disappointing. Really wanted this to be good experience. To top it off the take away containers had big pictures of roast chicken on them.

Este restaurante se encontraba en un ambiente ruidoso y un poco descuidado. Soportaba el entorno porque me encantan sus platos. Estoy muy contento de que se hayan mudado a un local más decente. (Abrirán en febrero-marzo de 2024, en la calle Los Sabandeños, Los Cristianos).

Fantastic vegan cuisine (it is more than a restaurant) in los cristianos. it is located at the top of the shopping center passarela oasis. all their dishes are 100 vegan. I have the seaweed burger and spinat croquettes. they were both delicious! the prices are...reasonable too, because the portions are quite large. because there is not much space to eat there, I suggest you eat on the terrace that has an amazing view (free!). because of the corona restrictions they can not buy drinks from kvegan, but there are several bars and stands on the terrace where they buy their drinks.
