It was busy with several tables reserved and so we wer... read more We walked past this place at lunchtime and it seemed very popular and so we gave it a try in the evening. It was busy with several tables reserved and so we were shown to a table at the back of the restaurant. The service was not great and it took some time to take our order. We both ordered Sirloin steaks that were tender but almost tasteless, very under seasoned but even after adding salt and pepper it didn't make much difference. The place seemed full of ex pat Brits who were regulars and given preferential treatment. No one seemed interested in giving us the bill and we will definitely be avoiding this place in the future.

We won't go back as a lot more places to try out.

I know people who are coming to Charly... read more As I was reading some of the reviews about the Charly Bar I got really upset. I've known Charly Bar for a long time now. I know people who are coming to Charly Bar for 3 more than three decades, and have seen children growing into teenagers and becoming adults who came year after year at the Charly Bar. I am sick and tired of those writing false reviews based on a subjective point of view or even straight out lies, made by people who just incidently mention other venues or entertainers which makes things quite obvious. This place is good value for money and the fact that the members of the staff have been workind there also for decades some of them should say something about the Charly Bar. Try having a breakfast, or chicken with mushroom sauce. Then get some of their home made cakes. It is what I always do!
