Was Mara Pantoja at Studio 52 a mag?
Coffee was excellent, a busy café with very friendly staff. Great place to meet family and friends for coffee or any food you are looking for. Then you can look at the art. Seems a kid friendly café also which is good that families feel welcome. View all feedback.

This excellent cafe is located within the complex of Armidale's (also excellent) regional art gallery. It is a pleasant, airy space, with seating inside and out. Their coffee is excellent and they sell some very tempting cakes - can recommend the carrot cupcakes and the peach and macadamia slice. Didn't stay for lunch but the ploughman's plate looked good. Next time.

Dropped into a crowded Studio 52 for a Saturday lunch after too long away and luckily got a table. The clientele are mainly professionals and university types or interest groups having a posh lunch meeting. Good menu with extensive GF options available. Coffee good, staff young and enthusiastic while Chef Dave continues his culinary magic. Probably best to book for weekend brunch and lunch.

The place was packed so it must be good. We sat outside as the amount of ladies speaking all at once inside was deafening, a downside for those who have bad hearing and those wanting a quiet chat. The menu is varied but a little bit pricey. I ordered the sweet potato & feta fritters but it was really more like a slice, however it was really tasty and just the right size for a small lunch but at $17 there could have been more "fritter".My friend ordered the rocket salad but asked for the rocket to be replaced with baby spinach as she finds too much rocket is... too much. The chef accommodated and she really did enjoy her meal.I had as a drink, the salted caramel shake. It was really good, cold and very old style (though mine was made with soy). I did enjoy it.Our waiter was really nice and sweet. He was very helpful and made sure that our dietary requirements were met.I would recommend this place to grab a quick bite, but if you want something for breakfast/brunch make sure you get there before 11am.

Great coffee and food - not the cheapest, but consistently tasty and healthy with plenty of gluten free options.
