Incredible value for the money, great food. I am a huge fan of Japanese cuisine and I am so happy to have a local place I can get the staples at for a reasonable price. Unpretentious, comfortable, friendly, excellent! View all feedback.
I had the pleasure of visiting this charming Japanese restaurant for the first time, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly, and we appreciated the variety on the menu. We decided to try a few different ramen bowls, and each one was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. I loved that we could adjust the spice level since the sauce was served on the side. We’re definitely looking forward to exploring more options on our next visit. This cozy spot is a bit hidden in a small strip mall, so don’t miss the chance to stop by for a fantastic meal!
This authentic Japanese restaurant has a no-frills vibe and is quite small, lacking any signage outside. Inside, there’s a walk-up counter where you can see the full menu and place your order while paying for your food on the spot. I ordered the salmon deluxe bento, priced at $15, and I thought it offered a generous portion for the cost. I also sampled the octopus karaage, which I enjoyed, and for dessert, I had mochi rice filled with red bean paste wrapped in bamboo leaves. I definitely plan to return to explore more items from the menu.
This place is definitely a hidden gem in the area. I highly recommend the mackerel with the bento—my boyfriend ordered it, and I was envious of his meal! I chose the teriyaki chicken and ginger pork, but I found both the chicken and pork to be dry and lacking in flavor. However, the mackerel was amazing! The takoyaki was great as well!
I was recommended by a friend who told me it's a hidden jewel that no one knows about! It truly was! The place itself was small and had very little seating, but the menu had plenty to offer! The decor is simple, but the Japanese salary-men (in their Y-shirt and tie) who were eating there gave me the impression that this place probably had authentic Japanese dishes. I ordered the karaage-don which reminded me of my Japanese mom's home cooked food. It was quite filling and came with a side of miso soup that I didn't expect. I'm looking forward to try their ramen the next time I go.
