I just left Passero having had the absolutely best meal I have had in a very long time – certainly the best I have ever had in Arlington Heights. I just left Passero having had the absolutely best meal I have had in a very long time – certainly the best I have ever had in Arlington Heights. Every single detail of this restaurant was considered from the decor to the glasses the drinks are served in. It feels like you are in the city there, not downtown Arlington Heights. We ordered the burrata brussels which came with an AMAZINGLY huge piece of fresh mozzarella, the fonduta (which I think we all agreed was our favorite thing – not an easy decision to come by), gnocchi napoletano and ricotta cavatelli. Even the drink I ordered was fantastic: the late taverna nights. A bourbon drink with the perfect trace amount of sweet which doesn't overpower the bourbon. We will be back again.
The service was spot on and helped offer up a suitable wine that’d go great with the meal. Our meals were nothing short of spectacular. The owner Matt came over and asked how everything was which really shows he takes pride in his craft. The menu has a diverse selection of flavors. I’ve never seen or tasted anything like it. It was amazing. I can’t wait to come back and try something new. The Gnocci Neopoletano was excellent!
Went to Passero for dinner on Wednesday and it was fabulous. The atmosphere was great, good music, beautifully decorated. And the food...wow. Had the veal and pork meatballs for an appetizer and then I had the fish for dinner, my boyfriend had the beef. We needed up sharing our dishes because we wanted each other to taste how delicious they were! We’ll definitely be back!
We love Passero and come here often! With a baby at home we don’t always have time to go to the city lately, so it’s nice to have a wonderful place like Passero around. It’s just as good, if not better than many Italian bistros in the city. All the food is fresh and lots of local goods. I like that the menu is seasonal and that some ingredients are repeated through the menu. The service is very good usually as well. Great selection of beers, wines and cocktails. It’s always busy so make a reservation and be prepared to wait even if you have one. We take our 7-month-old there for early lunches and they are always super friendly and helpful with kids! This is definitely one of our favorite suburban restaurants.
We had dinner at Passero tonight- exceptional food and service! Not only was the food delicious but the serving size was great! The restaurant offers a great variety of appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts! I highly recommend this restaurant to all of my family and friends- we will definitely be back!
