Oberweis Ice Cream And Dairy Store

The ice cream is good, but the prices are unreasonable for standard portion sizes. On top of that, they expect a tip? What service is that tip for? Haha!

I was out shopping with my lads and ended up going to Oberweis Dairy for a good time, or so I thought… They got my name horribly wrong, and when it was my turn to order I asked the cashier to make sure my brownie was warm, as days prior it was cold. When I got my brownie, it was as hard as a rock, my spoon ended up breaking, I couldn’t enjoy it and didn’t even end up finishing my brownie. I’m saddened, this was one of the best places to get ice cream. Not Anymore.

Ice cream is something that can change your mood any time... This is an ideal place for ice cream lovers...according to me this is the best ice cream parlor in chicago..their birthday cake and espresso caramel flavors are my all time favorite among all...and thei shakes are just too good..this place is kids friendly.. they have free parking..

The staff were quite inattentive and mixed up our order. This seems to be a persistent issue, as I noticed another customer experiencing the same problem. Some employees were wearing AirPods, making it difficult to get their attention. Additionally, the ice cream didn’t taste as good as it used to.

I’ve been visiting this place for 20 years, but for the past five years, I’ve often been disappointed with their service. I typically order a large hot fudge sundae to go, but even when I watch them prepare it, I can never be sure of what I’ll find when I get home. Too often, it seems like there’s significantly less ice cream than I paid for, with an overwhelming amount of fudge on top. Most recently, I had to wait several extra minutes while the teenagers behind the counter were too busy flirting with each other to attend to customers. When I finally got my sundae, it was a letdown. In short, there seems to be a lack of training and adult supervision at this place, which results in poor quality. You’d probably be better off buying the ingredients from a store and making your own sundaes at home.
