The establishment is clean and the wait staff is knowledgeable and customer-oriented. However, there have been mixed reviews about the service speed, with some finding it slow and uneven. The ambiance of the restaurant is described as eclectic, with great options for outdoor seating. The food is praised for its delicious and unique flavor combinations, sourced from local farms and establishments. Some standout dishes include the cheesecake, Keylime Pie, and Caesar salad. We went to ray’s to the birthday of my friend, as we have to previous birthdays because he loves steak. their steaks are phenomenal and the place is unpredictable. there are no words for how sad we are that this neighborhood motto closes. Apparently we are not the only ones who feel that way because the restaurant was jam packed! there was a huge series of people who check for their reservation or put their names on the huge walk in list. I know it's a fabulous steak house, but the lobster and crab mac cheese and their framed spinat are two of my favorite foods in the world.
Service, eating and atmosphere excellent as it was always when we were here. herzinfarkt, that this is the end of an annoying culinary experience.
The food was good, but there were a couple with a small child at the table next to us who screamed almost all the time.
Rays eat a steak. there is no ambiente – no styling, no dimming light, no leather stands, no music, nothing at the walls. they have a limited bar; I asked if they could make a gin and tonic and they were able to do that, but the waitress implied that it would limit what they could take. that's okay if what they're interested is eating a steak and not one of the others. the steaks were good, and kartoffels and framed spinat come as side automatic, with a fairly standard list of other sites available al la cart. for the first time, the setting was a bit surprising, but the meal itself was really good.
We were looking for a local steakhouse that was not a stuffy place, and this was better than expected! I had the filet with a hollandaise sauce, DELICIOUS!
