Mele Bistro (formerly Village Bistro)

One of the best restaurants I’ve ate at this year. Excellent food and wait staff. Awesome.

Admittedly, Mele Bistro is one of my all-time favorite restaurants. And tonight was no disappointment! The VA oysters were tasty, the prosecco was a nice accompaniment followed by the special soup (seafood) that was very bisque-like. I had the mongchong, a Hawaiian fish, on mushroom risotto and wilted spinach. The lovely surprise was VERY fresh pickled ginger. So delicious. The sauvignon blanc paired well with this meal. My dining companion had the seabass and that too was amazing. Thank you for another terrific meal that allowed us to slow down and enjoy life.

We enjoyed a date night dinner at Mele Bistro last week. The restaurant is very pretty outside, with lots of strung lights, but the parking lot is busy. Inside is also nicely decorated. The menu is a little overwhelming as there are lots of choices of ways to configure things. We were quite pleased with the grilled calamari appetizer, the fettucinne alfredo small plate and the scallops entree. All portions were generous, the food was fresh and tasty. Prices are reasonable and service is attentive.

Mele Bistro is a must if you are in the Arlington area. Well seasoned steaks, hot olives, warm bread, perfectly cooked gnocchi, creamy risotto, and so many more choices. The owner is charming and attentive, and the patio has a great ambiance. Can't wait to go back!Food: 5/5

Don’t bother with this place. Service was horrible, food was late and just okay. Very loud!
