Oustanding Food and Service. We held a luncheon for 30 people at Ruffinos and it was an outstanding event. The owner was very flexible and helpful planning the event and offered tasting plates of the selected food items. The venue was the perfect size and could have easily handled 40-45. The food (spaghetti, meatballs, chicken parm, salad, garlic bread) was fresh and hot served buffet style. The marinara sauce was pe... View all feedback.
What Francis doesn't like about Ruffino's Spaghetti House:
I ordered 2 pasta dishes and calamari from this place to get an idea of what the food was like. The pasta was uninspired and reminded me of something one would find in a tray over a sterno burner. The calamari was eye-opening as I had never had calamari that looked like it had been julienned before being fried before. Not planning on going back to this place. View all feedback.
Manager is rude. Overpriced. Pasta dish serving is small. Does not come with common served sides such as garden salad nor utensils. Allowed Uber to over charge my card by $20.00. manager hung up the phone when disputing charges. Would not recommend. Giving bad name for restaurant business. Please boycottFood: 1/5
It was ok. It was average pasta, nothing special. The atmosphere is cozy but they had small flies/ gnats flying around. They used iceberg lettuce for the caprese salad to include core end pieces.
Very disappointed with our experience. The waiter was unfriendly when we asked to see the drink menu, and continued to be that way through our entire dinner. The garlic bread was very soggy and flavorless. We both ordered pasta, the fettuccine Alfredo was decent and the build your own was good as well. The end of our meal was disappointing, though, when the waiter came over to inform us that he had doubled charged us for sausage on the build your own pasta (which was $6) and couldn’t for whatever reason take it off the bill. He gave us two desserts instead which was nice, (although the tiramisu and cannoli were not great and seemed to be a few days old) but we much rather would just have had the extra charge taken off. Overall, the food was decent but we will unfortunately not be returning.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options, the build your own pasta has a lot of good options.Parking: There is free parking in the back!
Pretty good food! This place is an old school style Italian place much like I remember from my childhood. I liked coming here for the nostalgia and ambiance. The flavor and quality was great for what we had. Their wine selection was pretty impressive. If you're in the neighborhood try some wine and pasta!
I stopped by for a meal when I was in town. The stuffed Marsala was excellent as were the stuffed mushrooms. Finished it off with a cannoli. The owner was a great guy to talk to while waiting for my food to arrive. Very friendly. Would definitely go back next time I’m in the DC area. I took an Uber and couldn’t enter from Langston Blvd.. Parking and entrance are in the rear of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: They had kid options on the menu and it would be a fine environment for children to dine.Parking: There is parking in the rear of the restaurant, where the entrance is.
