Contribute FeedbackThis trendy yet cozy restaurant in Rochester is a mixed bag when it comes to reviews. While some diners experienced disappointments with dishes like greasy tofu and fish that didn't quite live up to expectations, others found the food impressive and delightful. The service also seemed hit or miss, with some patrons receiving exceptional service while others were left waiting or unattended. Despite these varying experiences, there is no doubt that Prescott's has its loyal fans who rave about the exceptional food, attentive service, and charming ambiance. Overall, the consensus seems to be that while some may have had negative encounters, many still find this restaurant a gem worth visiting in the Rochester dining scene.
Wasabi has pushed on tuna, and the LOBSTER route is just so good.
We were here a few times and thought that sushi was good. this visit was completely different. the sushi kitchen was shot and was wasted completely. the server was very sweet, but the manager who brought a drink to my son, spilled him everywhere on the table. pretty sure we never go back.
The staff was friendly and the service was efficient. There were plenty of fresh rice dishes, but not much variety in sushi. The portions were very small. The menu selection was lacking. Overall, if I wasn't such a sushi connoisseur, I would have enjoyed my experience more. Cheers.
The hostess service at this restaurant was terrible and there was no follow-through from the manager in terms of customer service. We arrived at 6 pm for our online reservation, but there was no record of it. Despite the restaurant being empty at that time, it took 15 minutes for the hostess to seat our party of three. We were seated at a poor table near the kitchen entrance and the sushi bar, and we received no service. We eventually decided to leave and go to a taco restaurant across the street due to the lack of attention from the hostess. This was the worst treatment we have ever received from a hostess. When we informed the manager that we were leaving without even being served water, he simply offered a weak apology instead of trying to remedy the situation and convince us to stay. It is disappointing considering that we had previously enjoyed good service at this restaurant and frequented their downtown location often.
This is a trendy place, with very, very tight quarters. The four of us had a table with 4 chairs that would barely accommodate two people, which makes it very difficult to jockey entrees or anything else you might want on the table. The food and service is good no problem there. It does appear to be a happening place. However, if you want to go somewhere for a comfortable meal, without body contact with strangers, this is not the place.
