Our server turned out to be a fun, if not a little smart alec and charmed the lady's with songs and reparte'. The food was great and especially theTartar was awesome. Friends from Montpellier (locals) to meet us as it was our first visit to this part of France, and they were very impressed! I highly recommend.

The food was very... read more We were traveling all over South of France, and we stopped at Mon Bar for lunch with our friends. We are American and were treated so nicely. The food was very good, and the wine to. Lorenzo was the best!!! He made our day....we laughed, joked, he helped understand the menu, he even sang a song, even though it was Rick Springfield, hahaha!!!We highly recommend this restaurant for a good time, good food, and maybe some good entertainment from Lorenzo.Hope to be back soon!!! We had butternut squash soup (Veloute' de but... read more We had a wonderful lunch at the Bar Tabac Brasserie in Arles France. Right off the square with lots of atmosphere. We had butternut squash soup (Veloute' de butternut, Poe'lee' de champignons, lord grille et ses croutons) actually really thick, creamy and rich soup with lardons (small pieces of pork) and divine crunchy croutons. In the USA this would be a bowl of soup, in France it's a meal and evidence of a dedication to making food a sensuous experience.
