It will also be a magical place, we got there by bicycle after a splendid ride on the Camargue trails. We would have liked to have lunch, but we had not booked so no lunch.After 50km we would have been satisfied with a beer and some water, the answer was: We don't do bar service. they invited us to get water from the toilet sink. Simply great and authentic! A family restaurant nestled on the edge of the Etang de Vacarrès where seafood in the spotlight. Worth the detour and highly recommended.
We showed up on bicycles at noon. The place was empty . The door was open, menu posted outside. There were several people eating in the kitchen. We waited politely for about ten minutes at the bar where we could be seen by the staff. They knew we were there, but couldn’t be bothered. After 10 minutes we gave up an cycled back to St Marie de la Mer.
The best fish restaurant in the region. Everything is about quality, the setting and the great sympathy of the Mondet family. I recommend
Welcomed with a big smile by the owner who was extremely kind to welcome us despite the fact that we did not have a reservation. The unique and extensive menu was excellent from start to finish. The setting is sublime. Thank you for this suspended moment.
Superb place, on the edge of the Vaccares pond which can be admired behind large bay windows, cool and sheltered from mosquitoes. Smiling, warm, relaxed staff, who explain to us that the restaurant is only open 3 lunchtimes per week because the owner goes fishing for 2 days (Wednesday and Thursday) to supply his restaurant for the following 3 days. Very generous menu: we had a large sea bream per person. Honestly, in a restaurant by the sea, just the fish would have cost us €50. We were also treated to a delicious fish soup, mussels and a homemade dessert for the same price! Everything was perfect. Thank you for offering us ultra-fresh cuisine, in a heavenly place with great simplicity and so much good humor! We will happily come back!
