Was Helga Jacobson at L'Amandier a mag?
if I had read the comments I would not have gone there and yet. we came by chance to this empty restaurant where the map seemed to us despite all the enchanting. The meal was delicious, succulent eggplants, trout and intercoast as well. everything was home and especially fries with new potatoes (very recognizable to taste). It was delicious from beginning to end and we didn't wait. I think something has changed since... View all feedback.
What Théodore Ramos dislikes about L'Amandier:
Due to the lack of an open restaurant, on Monday noon in January, we fell on the one here, close to the theatre: a lot of dishes, listed on the menu, finished and those served any: short to use only in case of troubleshooting. View all feedback.
My trout with almonds was delicious and my partner enjoyed his prawn dish. Our waitress was pleasant and helpful.
I hate to post bad reviews but I don't understand how people can serve you food like this and look in your eyes after. It's bad, very-very bad food. It's not your cousin cooking a dinner for you. It's professional cookers make something for you...and ask money for that. Salad with toasted goat cheese looks like a very small portion of the cheapest salad leafs, two sliced of tomato and two toasts, which you are not able to bite without breaking the teeth. Meet is full of fat. Rise has no salt, no pepper. Nothing. Just concentrates all sadness of this dinner. We spent very cool day in Arles but the dinner was totally failed. Thought service was very good.
The restaurant is just inside the city walls with inside and outside seating. The menu was very good. The food tasted fantastic. Some lovely wine. The lady who was serving and taking orders was very helpful even though our french is virtually non existent and...she spoke little English. There is a QR code on the menu that loads an English menu.
We went to L'Amandier for a meal for my birthday last week and were not disappointed. The food was delicious, plentiful and the owner was very attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We had the menu and a carafe of rose plus one dessert and paid Excellent salads to start and lovely tuna with ratatouille as a main. Not sure why the waiter pushed us away from the so called reserved table when it was...clearly not reserved. But we secured a seat outside and enjoyed our meal. Albeit with quite slow service. Would go back and recommend.
