We shared a really good homemade chicken liver pate. Then my partner had the Taurus stew, again well cooked, hot and tasty. I ordered prawns which were quite disappointing, only received four and they were tasty but over cooked for my taste. Usual tourist wine list.

We have visited this restaurant twice this week. Both times we were so impressed by the helpfulness and good humour of the lady who was serving. On Tuesday there were lots of people and she served them all with energy and friendliness. I have recently been diagnosed coeliac and have to have gluten free food. This is often quite tricky to find especially in French restaurants but here there are a couple of options. The cod was absolutely delicious, and my husband has had the beef stew and the rabbit, both of which he thoroughly enjoyed. I really recommend this restaurant.

Went there for the location, unbeatable at the foot of the arenas. It looked like a traditional auberge and the weather on the lovely terrasse was idyllic. We chose the most expensive set menu. We waited half an hour for a goat cheese salad consisting of oil soaked iceberg, half a tomato and cheap processed goat cheese on two old croutons. Next my dorade arrived completely raw and cold; I returned it and it came back 30 mns later half cooked. My husband lamb consisted of a few morsels of tough meat, so greasy he could not eat it. Ratatouille was canned. The pictures of the dishes on the website are fake. Bread was a horrible stale french stick. We gave up after that. The waitress was lovely but could not do anything. The manager was in the kitchen and did not come to apologise. He tried to charge us the price of a full menu for our first two starters. I expect everything was microwaved, canned or frozen. Avoid this place.

Came across this restaurant whilst wandering round the edge of the amazing Roman arena, and thought ' ooh that sounds an interesting set menu at a good price ' and it was. We had the gratin of mussels and aubergine salad were both tasty starters, one richer and the other lighter we swapped half way through to get the mix. Then the bull stew and the squid stew were both delicious and attractively presented. Incredibly tender and both melted in the mouth. A slice of Lemon and of strawberry tart rounded things off nicely. 3 good courses for 22euros what 's not to like.

Stumbled upon this nice and classy little Restó while wandering about quasi aimlessly around dinner time and we decided to give it a chance as we were intrigued by the refreshing mist intended to cool down patrons sitting outside. Excellent food (I'd recommend their Guardienne de Taureau anytime), generous portions, classy plating and very polite and quick service and surprisingly friendly prices; 52 euros for 2 appetizers, 2 main courses, a bottle of Rosé and coffees. Very quiet and comfortable atmosphere, I recommend it hands down.
