We enjoyed a fantastic light lunch at the restaurant, with a soup and plow plate made from fresh, local ingredients. We will definitely be returning in the future. View all feedback.

Second visit, 3 years later. It's still as good. Lovely scones and coffee with great staff. Highly recommended.
We came here after there was no food on offer at Fyne Ales which is a short drive away. Food was lovely. Staff were friendly and took COVID mitigations seriously. Great spot for a coffee and cake or bite to eat if you are passing....Also a nice shop and garden centre. Not very many child friendly options on the menu which is not important to everyone but we are at that stage in life.
My family own a wee house in Connell, so we often make the trip from Glasgow to Oban, usually stopping at the tree shop for some lunch en route. The food is lovely and it’s always fun to have a nosey around their plant selection....I really wanted to leave a positive review but unfortunately my visit was dampened by a rather rude member of staff. A woman in around her 60’s with a short blonde bob and glasses greeted us in the queue for the cafe, her mannerisms and attitude was nothing short of passive aggressive. We placed her order as she stomped around the place as if everyone was in her way. Before we left I decided to grab a piece of cake to split with my mum who was traveling with me. I went to pay for my order, which a younger member of staff had kindly put through for me. Their card reader appeared to fail numerous times as I tried to used my card to pay. I took my card out and tried again a couple of times before the rude woman appeared again and crudely remarked to her colleague ‘maybe it’s her card’. Well… me and the very same card went the short journey to Inveraray and purchased a very delicious caramel shortcake with no issues and no attitude. Its such a shame because I’ve been coming here for years, but I don’t come on holiday to deal with ‘Karen’s’.
Called in for a quick light lunch and drink on the way from Moffat to Crarae, and a great choice it was; outside seat on a lovely afternoon; superb food, very local in character, perfect service too.
