do not ask for a menu, ask them what is recommended on and what is recommended. they will not be disappointed. filled vegetables (pfeffer tomaten, aubergine) are among the best they find. the house made dolmades made by mama are great. we will be worth the visit only to smell the fragrant flowers in the courtyard View all feedback.
What Nicole Koller doesn't like about Batis:
We were the only two people and we had to wait for him to finish setting up for a large group . That’s ok since we are walk ins . He does not sell wine by the glass and the bottle was too expensive. It was just ok . I would not recommend the wine that he makes . He talk too much and never checks to see if you need anything. He is a good cook ! It was pricey for what we had . He had a story about we did not get a rece... View all feedback.
A very authentic family owned and fun Greek taverna. Delicious fresh homemade dishes and wine made on the premises. Mama’s home made stuffed vine leaves are the best you will have anywhere!
Very friendly staff, quite and beautiful garden with natural shade thanks to the plants and trees. I ordered soutzoukakia which were very tasty and well tempered.
We dined here a few time during my stay, we had to return for the homemade dishes, wine tsipouro. We received a very personal service, as did all customers even when the taverna was busy. Thank you Vangelis.
Easily the worst meal I’ve had in Greece over the past two weeks. I can’t reconcile how this place has so many good reviews. I’ve had €2.50 gyros far better than what we received at this place. We’ve had so many fantastic meals in Greece, so I’m shocked at how other rave about this place. The food was extremely ordinary in every way tasteless, limited menu (no fish, no salads), expensive. The waiter/owner got our order wrong which isn’t the end of the world, but worth mentioning. There are no menus or prices available. You don’t receive an invoice/itemised receipt. The dishes are served with revolting cold, soggy potato chips/fries heaped on top. The only dish that wasn’t terrible was the vine leaves (which appears to be the only dish frequently mentioned in the reviews). I would discourage anyone from eating at this place.
We were there three times and it was always very good. The short conversations with the waitress were also pleasant. So highly recommended. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €15–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
