What LeFrequentTraveller doesn't like about La Gamate:
Shared the goats cheese salad, calamari and king prawns which were ok, nothing special. For mains my daughters shared a pizza which was ok. My wife had the pork which she found pretty boring, so I swapped my fish of the day (Cod, scallops and Prawns) which was the nicest dish of them all. View all feedback.
On the main route through the cute village of Argeles. This an absolute no brainer, very fresh food, very well done, great wine and great service. It looks like nothing from the road but you shouldn’t dismiss it. The seafood special was superb.
Visited on recommendation of a local hotel. Authentic outside French dining delivered by Corsican owners. Fresh fish of the day, Iberian Pork sampled and was excellent. Host is chatty, friendly. Staff effiecient and most important we loved the food. Reasonable prices and nice house wine. Well worth a visit. Open late and no pressure to rush to a finish. A great experience. Thank you.
Very good and for all tastes: pasta, pizza, creative cuisine for the menu of the day at a small price.
This is not the first time I go to this restaurant where the quality-price is very correct. I recommend.
We have dinner at the gamate and we will keep a very good memory, the dishes served are very good and at reasonable prices. I emphasize the quality of pizza for only a dozen euros!
