Steamed Dumplings here are the best on earth. I don't know what the secret spice is, but the tastiest by far. Been going here for years (when I'm in the area) for take-out and the food is great. Also good snack item are their almond cookies. The staff has always been very nice. Priced right. And another tidbit is this is one of the few Chinese Restaurants that has restrooms for the customers. This is good for tradesm... View all feedback.
What David S doesn't like about China Pavilion:
This restaurant under the old management with the verbally abusive older lady was fantastic. The food I ordered was always amazing and kept me coming back again and again. My favorite dish (Kung Po Chicken) under the new management is bland and unremarkable. I 'd only order again if that wonderful abrasive lady who previously ran this restaurant returns. That probably won 't happen so I won 't be back. View all feedback.

I recently had the worst tasting take out ever at this place. I ordered Egg Foo Yung and the sauce tasted like it had vinegar or wine in the it. It was just awful . My family had been going to China Pavillion for probably 30 years and no other take out in the area could ever compare but since changing owners, the food is really awful. I've given it quite a few tries and Ive finally decided to call it quits with this place.
I've ordered from this restaurant several times because it delivers and it's near my house. The food is OK but tonight I was very disappointed to pull a staple out of my mouth that had obviously been in my food. I called the restaurant three times. I was hung up on twice. The third time a gentleman answered the phone who clearly did not speak any English at all. I will definitely not be eating here again.
I was on a literal trip down memory lane (my sis and I used to live in town 20 yrs ago) when, passing by this joint, I had the sudden remembrance of an awesome shrimp dish which I could not remember the name of. I'm sad to hear of all the bad interactions people have had with the owner because she was so nice to me as I explained trying to remember what I had ordered so many years ago. She patiently asked me to describe the dish, offered to sub in vegetables that I liked, and made recommendations. Ended up going with the shrimp with garlic sauce. Alas it was not the one I was thinking of but the dish was still quite tasty, with good-sized shrimp and a sauce that seemed to have been prepared with more care and quality than your average Chinese food place. It was just a tad too sweet for my taste (I have a low tolerance for sweet foods) but still was very satisfied. The woman even came by to ask if it was the right dish and whether I liked it or not. In the end I thought it was well-priced, tasty food with an interaction I rarely have anymore at any restaurant these days (someone actually interested in helping you make a good choice), let alone a random Chinese food place.
The lady was very disgusting and rude to not only me but to other customers, and the food is not good at all. So I made a big order worth about $75 dollars, I ask her if it 's ok for her to run down what in the order as I read what my friend wrote so we know everything 's in place. She told me I don 't have time for that, do it yourself goodbye. Really. I have told all my friends we will never order here again. The worst place ever!!!!
