Visited here on a lunch time and took advantage of their fixed price 3 course menu including wine and coffee for E16.90.Prawn cocktail starter a little 1960ish but good taste, grilled mixed fish with salad and chips which was good, followed by passion fruit mousse which was great.There were only 2 waitresses and fortunately weren't that busy. What Iara Maia doesn't like about Blue Marlin:
This is one of a few restaurants along the edge of the Marina at Calheta. The menu is impressive and, when it arrives, the food is nice. However, when we had lunch there there was only one very stressed waitress who had to keep running next door to collect dishes and couldn't keep up with the orders. Visited Blue Marlin with my mum the first week in August while staying in Funchal. The food was nice- we had 2 courses each and a bottle of rose wine to share and I think the bill was around 33euros. There wasn't much of an atmosphere as other than us there was only 1 other table in, however views over the Marina more than made up for that. Good friendly service.
We hebben een boottocht gemaakt om walvissen en dolfijnen te spotten. Walvissen waren er niet maar dolfijnen in overvloed. Hebben goed genoten van deze ervaring. De eigenaar is een Nederlander en de kapitein van de boot ook. Achteraf krijg je een gratis drinks in hun restaurant en ook 10 % korting op het diner. zeer tevreden

I recomnend this restaurant. The service is good and the staff are very nice. Superb sunset views as you eat
