**Restaurant Review: A Tale of Decline and Flavorful Delights**
Once celebrated for its delicious offerings and warm ambiance, this restaurant's recent reviews reveal a disheartening decline. Patrons lament dry fried chicken, dirty dishes, and unwelcoming service, marking a stark contrast to fond memories of happier visits. However, not all feedback is grim; many still rave about the homemade cakes and pies, commending their reasonable prices and friendly service. Though some locals are seeking new culinary adventures, the promise of delights like the pizookie keeps hope alive for a return to form. Only time will tell if this establishment can reclaim its former glory.
Feedback
The food was dry, and the plates were dirty. I used to dine here every other week when heading south, but my recent visit left me feeling unwelcome. It seemed like the owner, who has an unfortunate appearance, lacked any warmth or hospitality. I used to go out of my way for their fried chicken—it was worth a 40-mile detour. However, after today’s experience, I wouldn’t even cross the street for it.
The best homemade pies south of Kansas City! The prices are reasonable, and the service comes with a friendly smile. I'm looking forward to trying their Pizookie next time—it sounds delicious!
The chicken was dry, the service was poor, and the plates were dirty. This used to be a regular stop for us every year, but now we go further north. It was much better back in 2008.
The food was dry, and the utensils were dirty. I ate there two weeks ago when I was traveling south. The experience felt forced, and I don’t believe the owner, who has a hair lip, has a warm bone in her body. In the past, it was worth driving 40 miles from my home, but now I wouldn't even cross the street to go there.
