Carmela's Mexican Restraunt - Arcata

We tried three different burritos, and each of us loved our choice. Even the basic sides like rice and beans were impressive. The standout for us was definitely the moles. Our server was delightful and readily made adjustments to our orders. Our only suggestion would be to move the weekly lunches to the weekend.

Not bad at all! I'm a huge fan of Mexican food, so I might be a bit biased. There are several restaurants in the area run by relatives or former employees, and they tend to have a similar flavor profile. However, there are some exceptions. I'm confident you'll enjoy dining here!

The food is delicious, the prices are excellent, and the portion sizes are generous. They also have a full bar. It's a fantastic spot for both lunch and dinner. However, it would be nice to see more vegan options on the menu.

Carmela is the best Mexican in Arcata hands down. Now it is not a very high bar, but they are far and away the best in town

Excellent veggie and vegetarian burritos lots of grilled veggies and not too heavy feeling. The portions are huge and has good beer on drought, and the mole sauce (while spicy) is mega good. Recommend.
