So, I am a native New Yorker raised on oily sloppy slices of thin crust pizza made with NY water. I gotta say that Zelo pie is dense and different. The corn meal crust tastes better than the great bagel dough of Abbot Kinney. One slice will accomplishwhat it used to take a whole pie to do. Tables outside too plus the staff is very sweet. I would give it 5 stars, except I can'tgive any pizza the full five...now if it was Cioppino, that would be diff.
Too thick and too expensive! 36 dollars for one large pizza which was pretty much a medium in diameter. The toppings were good and the pizza was dense with the cornmeal crust. If that?s your favorite style of pizza this might be for you, but it?s not forme.
This place has the best pizza. Their bet salad is amazing, and dessert is a taste treat. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the customer service. They really care.
Amazing corn meal crusted pizza. Fresh and very flavorful toppings. By the slice, half or whole pizza! Worth the visit!
