Wonderful to discover this cafe in the Alexandra Gardens. Relax under the shady trees to enjoy your coffee etc then stroll around these lovely gardens near the main highway through town. Highly recommend breaking your journey here. Big playground for the kids too. Toilets at the cafe site. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Gardens Lake Cafe:
the location is directly on the lake, with nature close to it. They can sit inside or outside when the weather is on it. the staff are enthusiastic and friendly. the coffee was just normal. we also had a vegie role. the vegies had dried out and the roll fell apart, but the tomato chutney was very good. there are toilets in the building. we were told by others that they were the cleanest in the city. there was no soap... Beautiful setting. Watched family at the pool then the playground while enjoying a cup of tea. Great herbal selection. Signage and parking is a mystery without some local knowledge to find it. This is a great option for families with kids.
Beautiful. Simply under the aged Oak trees was special with the heat kept at bay but add to that we had lovely food ,beautiful coffee ,music in the background with a playground nearby for the kids and a gorgeous pool centre to make a few hours of the Occassion if u want Sensational!!
Lovely spot under with outdoor tables under the trees in nice garden setting. This cafe has so much potential!! Fresh juice sounded very appealing but was a lot of ice, and fruit was still hard and thick. Over half drink left as couldn't get through straw. Only one size of milkshake available- staff were helpful doing half serve but seemed odd for an area that is obviously going to attract children. First time I was there (with children) staff member was talking to people on a table very close to us, gave the impression they also worked at cafe. Using offensive language despite being clearly in earshot of young children. Went back again on a Sunday they had music playing (Jacob Hamilton) this gave a lovely atmosphere. I found staff friendly and this visit much more enjoyable. Still undecided....
I went to see fantastic beasts at 3:20pm on a Thursday a month after it came out.
