I have tried around 25 different restaurants in Arambol, and I must say that the food in Arambol is pretty average. However, at Arcan, you can enjoy authentic, delicious, and well-prepared Indian cuisine. They also offer cheap beer priced at 80rs for a large bottle, along with tasty tandoori dishes. I visited this restaurant almost every day for 2 months and never got sick. Highly recommended! View all feedback.
The owners, Jack and Hazel, are welcoming and the staff has been with them for many years. The prices are competitive and some dishes are very reasonably priced. Some recommended dishes include Cheese Garlic Naan, Masala Papad, Stuffed Capsicum, Pulao, Spinach and Potato, Spinach Dal, Veg Patiala, Fish Noodles, Mixed Schezuan Fried Rice, Paranthas, Eggs, Masala Dosa, Hummus Falafel Salad, Chapatti, and Chana Bhatura. I also had the chance to experience the Arambol Carnival Benefit Gig at Arcan Bar, where the service was efficient despite the crowded venue. Additionally, I attended Arcan Jack's birthday party, where a multicultural crowd enjoyed live music and dancing. Overall, Arcan Bar is a must-visit in Arambol for delicious food, live music, and a welcoming atmosphere. Don't miss out on the experience of being "Arambolled" and "Arcanized" at this establishment. Have a great time!
I absolutely adore Arcan Bar! I frequent it for breakfast, where the scrambled eggs on toast are absolutely perfect - served hot with crisp, buttered toast (real butter). I have also dined here for dinner a few times and have enjoyed dishes like chicken xacuti and chicken vindaloo (spicy!) - both of which are excellent examples of authentic Goan cuisine. The large buttery garlic naan from the tandoor oven is always a highlight. The waitstaff at Arcan Bar truly stand out - they are attentive and go above and beyond to ensure a great dining experience. They remember your preferences, check back with you about your meal, and make sure everything is just right before leaving your table. They even go the extra mile to get you a drink that's not on the menu. The restaurant might not be fancy, but the food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the service is top-notch.
