Sylla is a wine cooperative in Apt where you can taste their wines but have good lunch at the same time. The offer tasty 3 course salad meals with the possibilty of tasting several of their wines with the meal. We visited them on several occasions and always they where very friendly and fulfilled our expectations. We bought their wines which are not expensive and of good quality.
We reserved a table for for six on Tuesday 18th August. This wine cooperative Cave, situated opposite the Leclerc supermarket on the outskirts of Apt, is only open for lunch. Several 'deals ' in the 13- 18 € range provide a cheese/meat salad-platter desert with 3 pairings of white, rose red wines – really good value, in a smart setting surrounded by wine bottles and barrels. We were served by Silva, such an agreeable and enthusiastic young man, who patiently gave us wonderful explanations (in English) of the wines and cheeses to help each of us decide on our choices. We had essentially come for wine-tasting, but the 2-course lunch exceeded all our expectations. On leaving I chose two bottles of an amazing Luberon Rose called Caprice at a reasonable price. Sylla comes highly recommended by us.
