It seems the nicest restaurants have small but unique menu offerings. This delightful little restaurant followed this pattern. The daily fish choice was accompanied by fragrant quinoa and delicious roasted vegetables. The dessert tarte au citron creamy and fresh lemon. What Chocochu doesn't like about Le Platane:
The food was decent, but dont expect too many choices. i remember there were only 2-3 main courses to choose from. I had the fish which was well cooked but the service needs much improvement. The ladies were friendly. but one of them was quite a mess, dropping cutlery all over and forgetting our coffee order. we waited 30 mins for our coffee. not so pleased esp it was a sunny day i would much prefer to spend my time... For lunch simply by big heat, this restaurant presents the strength of the large branches of a china murier, which spread their dense and refreshing shadow over the entire terrace. on the noon, only the menu of the day to 19 euros, is offered with a limited choice to 2 entries, 2 dishes, some desserts, but it is cooked very honestly, with fresh products and prices are quite reasonable. service is smiling, and effective. a staircase of about ten steps to access the restaurant can get rid of people with reduced mobility.
We chose to dine at the restaurant "au platane" because of the good recommendations of too adviser (among others). The table was very good (excellent entry: goat cheese terrine, very acceptable dishes, very nice dessert: cream burned with lavender). the relaxed atmosphere of the terrace was ruined at the time of dessert by the arrival of friends of the restaurateurs who did not hesitate to mobilise the sound atmosphere without any respect for the twenty guests. the end of this romantic dinner was thus ruined by odious "you saw" exhibitors without bark their journeys, their common past by interpelling the boss in contempt of any other consideration. We waited (specified) for a response from the management of the facility. That was not the case. So we left to find a little quiet elsewhere. Too bad.
The quantities served increased a little by volume. (before, you should not forget to eat bread to hold your stomach )sinon, really not disappointed, fine cuisine, you see that vivagel does not stop in this establishment. The terrace is very nice. under the platane. Nicely served and with a smile.Tarif correct wine, we are not here in a "tourist trap" but in a real restaurant. Oh, yeah, home desserts are miam!
Always irreproachable and great kindness of the bosses! always fresh products. After 5 years and still not disappointed!
Tested this small restaurant 2 Saturday noon. Well shady restaurant. welcome. Good kitchen that seems to be made home. We'll keep this address if we'll be back in the corner.
