Gasthof Lipp

Situated at over 800m and standing high up on a hillside Gasthof Lipp enjoys an amazing location, with incredible views of the Alps, Dolomites, the valley below and across to Bolzano. We enjoyed drinks on the outside terrace followed by a superb meal under cover. The menu is very traditional Austrian. Service was very friendly and efficient. Our drinks were brought out to us almost within seconds of ordering. The food was absolutely delicious. The bill represented great value. Would definitely recommend.

Been in the terrace in a sunny day, spectacular view. Food is good, what you expect from a local place, price not cheap.

This small restaurant on the top of the mountain offers the best view in the area: you can see Merano, Bolzano, the Dolomites and the entire Etsch valley AT ONCE! The terrace is amazing. Food is very traditional and of high quality. I really recommend this place!

If you want to enjoy a breathtaking view, you have to view the windows of the Gasthof Lipp room and let yourself be enchanted by the landscape. Then, if you want to taste traditional cuisine, just order and in a few minutes you have served. Friendly and smiling staff, abundant and tasty portions, good cleaning. The Gasthaus Lipp is on our ToDo list every holiday in South Tyrol. Nice staff, good food (Kaiserschmarrn great! and an insane view. Kitchen only until 2:00! Reservation recommended. Sometimes even home music plays live at the table... great.
