Very good atmosphere, it feels like you are indeed in an Italian restaurant. Staff is very nice. The pasta is very tasteful and of a big portion. The pizza is okay, the ingredients are def fresh but it can definitely use a little more tomato sauce (un po' di più di passata di pomodoro). The dough reminds me more of a NY style crust rather than an Italian one. My favorite part is that they sell some of their items to... View all feedback.
What 1Robert S 2 years ago on Google doesn't like about Caffe Positano:
I’ve heard such good things about this place so I figured I would give them a try. Really wish I did not. I ordered a pizza, and some cheese sticks. The cheese sticks tasted like they were right out of the freezer. The pizza wow! I can honestly say it was probably one of the worst pizzas I have ever ate. It was soggy, and something was off with the taste. I don’t even think my trash can enjoyed it. Maybe they have ot... View all feedback.
I’m visiting in town for a few weeks from The Bronx NY. I stopped by here last week after reading some of the great reviews. From the moment I entered I knew this was a great spot. Since then I’ve been here 3 times in one week! The food is very authentic and definitely what I’m used to in the boros of NY. The double espresso macchiato is nearly identical to the one I get on Arthur Ave. Brianna, Maddy, Leilani and the owner/manager are all extremely friendly and welcoming. Keep up the great job guys and thanks for such a warm welcome.
Can’t complain! We’ve been here twice. This is the first time we sat down to eat. Staff is friendly and service is quick, although we came on a Tuesday. It’s a bit pricy but the portions are worth it. I got the chicken with Gorgonzola sauce and Angel hair pasta. It was delicious! A little heavy on the sun dried tomatoes but loads of mushrooms if you like them! My husband got a calzone, which was huge and tasty.
The service was good. Food was just okay. I probably wouldn't return but would still recommend to others. This just wasn't my kind of Italian. My coworker loved her pasta with veal. The mozzarella sticks and marinara sauce was actually very delicious.
Definitely, a good spot for grabbing a pizza but, other dishes looked pretty good as well; and, the staff was very nice and attentive.

The strawberry tiramisu is delicious as well as the lentils soup (minestra di lenticchie).
