Apollo Meats
Apollo Meats
Description
This Ruskin neighborhood butcher delivers standout bacon, kielbasa and deli meats at competitive prices with friendly, quick service and an old‑school charm. The shop offers a wide variety of sausages, meat packages, some seafood and local produce, but the tiny, signage‑cluttered space can feel overwhelming to first‑time visitors. Customers note occasional low stock around holidays and concerns about sourcing and sanitation from isolated incidents. Despite those drawbacks, many praise the flavors, value and neighborhood appeal, making it a go‑to for meat lovers seeking flavor and affordability.
Feedback
This market treats its customers exceptionally well. I feel valued every time I visit. It's always a pleasant experience!
As always, the staff is very helpful and courteous, and they offer the best meats in our village.
I moved to Ruskin about eight years ago, and today I finally visited Apollo Meats for the first time. I was really impressed with what I found. It reminded me of shopping at Hornung Meats with my grandmother back in the 1980s. The service was quick and friendly, and the prices were lower than most grocery stores in the area. I especially loved the lunch meat—turkey pastrami and Amish ham were both excellent. They offer a wide variety of meats and also have kabobs and cinnamon rolls. Plus, there's some local produce available. I'm really looking forward to trying the mountain kielbasa I purchased. I'll definitely be returning!
OMG!!! I have died and went to heaven! This is the best meat store you will ever find!! 5 all the way around. The blue cheese hamburger is delicious. The blue cheese is the best I've ever tasted. Soft creamy not to pungent but taste great. The BACON is out of this world! Can't Beat the prices. Service is fantastic! Believe the reviwes. You will not be sorry!!
Too much signage everywhere and too many products, in a very small space. Very overwhelming as a 1st timer in the store. Publix has a larger fresh seafood section. It might be another 20 years before I go back. It was completely awful. But it wasn't completely great. Good news is there was no smell... all pretty fresh. :
