Unexpectedly great! Our friends and I are staying one night in Apollo Bay and looked for a place with simple, fresh and tasteful dishes. And we found our heaven at La Bimba! I only chose a side (their amazing Heirloom tomatos salad) but my friend ordered fresh vegetables, meat and fish. The fish to share was fantastic, the sides amazingly cooked sides. The meat were overcooked but we have been well advised on wines. Must try place down here!

Nice view and even nicer staff this place is worth a look. The mains I feel are overpriced for what you would expect for the same in melbourne. However incredible desserts make up for this and I continue to dream about the peanut butter ice cream.

Went here for breakfast on our epic tour of the Great Ocean Road, the weather was freezing and we ended up stopping in Apollo Bay just by chance. Starving we were scouring the place for breakfast cafes, and there were loads to choose from, we were just about to walk in to one when I noticed some peoples feet in the window on the first floor of the building next door. Immediately, I said we had to go there for the view alone, which was worth entering on its own. But inside the place had fantastic interior design; very modern with lots of wooden furniture and features created a very visually appealing location with a great view over the bay. Then to top it off the food was great, I had the Pancakes and my partner the Farmers Breakfast both were exquisite. I am planning to the GOR trip again soon and this time I will be planning my trip around stopping off there for food again.

The entree 'smoked eel ' on a toast was tiny (18A$ . The recommended Main Course 'leatherjacket ' was acceptable. The restaurant is nice located, but noisy. Cannot recommend this restaurant.
