Feedback
Experience at The Provincial was a mixed bag. While some guests were impressed with the outstanding service and delicious food options, others faced long waits, unapologetic staff, and average-tasting dishes. The menu, which changes weekly, offers carefully crafted dishes with fresh ingredients. Outdoor seating is available, but reservations are recommended. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Overall, The Provincial offers a farm-to-table dining experience with creative cocktails and New York-level options, making it a great dining spot in Apex, despite some inconsistencies in service and food quality.
This restaurant has been my favorite since it opened and I am shocked that I haven't submitted a review for it yet! Every time I walk in this restaurant, it's like a warm hug from friends. The food is phenomenal, the drinks are well balanced, and the staff literally couldn't be friendlier. I'm currently sitting at a table here tonight and the amount of people that walk in with staff calling them by name is incredible. New guests are greeted with warmth and excitement as if they're returning home. My wife and I come here a LOT and we have never had a bad experience! We have brought guests here time and time again and the same. Of course, every place will have an off night, but whenever anything wasn't perfect, the service made up for it to keep us happy. Some nights we grab a bunch of small plates and other nights we order from the large plates menu. No matter what, we ALWAYS order the goat cheese salad. Truly... This is a gem and not to be missed. Joe, you're our favorite, and I hope you never leave!
I organized my Division's holiday party and am so incredibly thankful we held it at The Provincial. The food was great. The staff was extremely helpful, making sure that my team was never in need of anything. Working with Kristyna to set it all up was a joy. I could not be happier with how it all turned out. The chefs and staff made it a party to remember! Service: Dine in
Had dinner here before a concert at Koka Booth Amphitheater. Owners were very accommodating in making our reservation by email from the website. Table for 4 outside on the sidewalk. An absolutely beautiful evening and had an amazing meal! Joe, our waiter, was the perfect host, knowledgeable about the town and all of the food and drinks at The Provintial. Great personality and he made the evening so enjoyable for all. Cocktails were magnificent! 2 of us had the pork chop, which was seasoned perfectly and accompanied by sautéed spinach. Lamb chops were perfectly prepared! Skirt steak was excellent. Finished with the carrot cake, which was very good! Highly recommend dinner here when you’re in Apex/Cary area. Ask for Joe if he is there, although I suspect all staff are very good.
Absolutely the best of the region if you enjoy fresh menus that change weekly. Every appetizer, and dish is carefully crafted with care and come out delicious. Wine list is decent and the prices are beyond far. They treat our 5 year old daughter withrespect and her usual, the white sauce and noodles is a winner. Lexi is our go to for server always attentive.
Would have loved to get a chance to try the food here but we were unable to ever be seated and their treatment of guests left us not wanting to ever go back. We arrived at 6:30 last Friday and requested an outside seat. The hostess said no problem, itwould be about an hour and took our name and number. We walked around downtown Apex for a while and grabbed a bench to sit andwait. Finally around 7:45 we went back to check on our spot in line. The hostess said that we would be unable to be seatedbefore close outside because the outside guests were taking too long and that they had meant to call us but forgot to. We wereflabbergasted by this type of treatment. We understand places being too busy to get at table at, that happens all the time. Butyou can 't agree to seat people and have them wait around over an hour and never give them an indication that they won 't beseated. If you 're too full that 's fine, let us know upfront and we 'll search for another place and try your restaurant later. But now we are left with a sour disposition about The Provincial solely on how we were treated in being forgotten to notifythat we 'd never be seated . That 's just unacceptable.
