I thought I was passionate about pizza, but... read more I’ve been wanting to try this place since I saw a photo of the pizza last month I’ve been following them ever since. I thought I was passionate about pizza, but from what I can tell, Johnny is on another level. I have never before gotten the impression that a pizzeria owner legitimately prioritized quality and customer service above profit margin, but I can see his company’s dedication to just that. I brought my family to the Cary location tonight. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, and the cashier told me it would be about 20 minutes. I was slightly concerned, because my family includes a (hungry) two year old boy. Our pizza arrived piping hot in closer to 12 minutes. The first thing I noticed was the crust. It was thicker and more substantial than I expected of a flat crust pizza not flimsy, but also not overly rigid or filling. There was a healthy smattering of pepperoni above and below the cheese. The cheese and sauce were also delicious and well portioned, culminating in an all around excellent pizza. As we packed up and left, my wife said this could be our new go to pizza place, to which I heartily agreed. We’ll have to try all the locations!

Mistakes are rare, but when they happen, Johnny and his team go above and beyond to make things right. Highly recommended!

The garlic knots are also amazing; the dough is full of flavor, and the red sauce is so good that it reminds me of bruschetta. Thank you!

It shocked us in that the sauce was spicy hot we didnt see any red pepper, but it tasted like someone had z as very heavy hand burned our tongue and lips....we couldnt eat it. We also got garlic knots (yummy! and Nutella stuffed Zeppolis for dessert out of this world good!!! Hopefully the spaghetti was just a one time thing; weve had it before several times and enjoyed it. All in all, Johnnys is a good!

The fries are soggy. We placed our last order with Johnnys. Time to look for a new pizza place!
