I've been meaning to write a review for this restaurant. Of course, it's take out. I've gotten increasingly frustrated with some other local Chinese places that I've gone to for years so finally made the jump to here. The food is good and reasonably priced for todays food costs. The woman who greets me each time I'm there is friendly. Not sure what else to say other than their General is good. Their lo mein is good.... View all feedback.
What Donald S doesn't like about Lucky Kitchen:
Did not have boneless spare rib tips and what they gave me for substitute, I didn't like the sauce much. I also had the roast pork lowmein, and the sauce was very water, which splattered all over my clothes and hardly had any pork! Way overpriced, and the food wasn't even that good. I am actually surprised that I haven't left a review yet for lucky kitchen as I have ordered from here easily over 100 times in the past eight or nine years anyways. This is a very small restaurant that primarily caters to take out orders They do not offer a buffet. They do have two tables indoors that you are welcome to use however if your party is any larger than six people You're not going to have enough chairs You're also going to have a steady stream of people coming in up to the counter to pick up there to go orders while you enjoy your dinner. I have never once that I can remember anyway had a problem with the quality of their food. As I mentioned above I have ordered there numerous times pretty much because the location is right down the road from where I live. Everything is of course prepared fresh as you order it, and in my opinion they are pretty quick. I can go online and place an order... Jump in my car and be there within 15 minutes and I've never had to wait any more than 5 minutes for my food. Usually it's ready when I arrive. Their menu is pretty much standard for most other Chinese food restaurants, however this particular location does have an orange chicken dish. Basically it is as it sounds, similar to a sesame chicken for example however it just has an orange sauce on it. The orange chicken comes in various degrees of hotness which is also a nice touch. Bring this up because I've been to many other Chinese restaurants and I don't recall any of them having orange chicken on their menu. As someone else mentioned in another review I do most often get something for free in my order. Usually it's an egg roll or maybe a small bag of crab rangoon. There have been a few times in the past that I've ordered for six or seven people and upon arriving to pick it up they have told me to just go ahead and grab a 2 l of soda out of the cooler on my way out. This is as I mentioned a very small family-owned restaurant, and although I do see a couple of negative reviews on this list I find it hard to believe that those people leaving those reviews maybe could have gotten their issues resolved by simply approaching the restaurant and talking about it. As far as flavor goes I believe they prepare everything pretty much the same unless you specify you want different. For example the orange chicken basically comes medium hot if you don't say anything. If you want extra hot or mild you need to tell them. So if the dish that you order isn't to your liking as far as taste goes, just let them know... They can easily adjust for you. Parking is super easy and available as this restaurant is located in a small strip mall type setting, with a grocery store and another restaurant on the other end. The parking lot is huge and rarely ever at least on that end of it has very many cars. I would also like to mention that they do accept credit cards with the exception of American Express. Other than that any particular credit card you happen to have, /debit card or obviously cash is acceptable.
