What Gasperino7580 doesn't like about Da Picchio:
POSITIVE ASPETTI: exceptional fry in taste, crispness and lightness. Beautiful sea view. Fresh mint. Tonnarello to the good clams. Friendly service. NEGATIVE ASPETTI: poor appetizer, the worst soutè of never eaten mussels, choice of minimal and very low quality wines, little choice of sweets (crustated and Granny cake) the latter mediocre, account super exaggerated for the type of location and food proposed. I would go back by ordering only Tonnarello and Frittura....poi viaaaaa.
Sunday lunch at this restaurant in Anzio, informal place and friendly staff. Cozze e salad di mare molto buono, spaghetti alle vongole buonissimi cooked in craft....frittura di calamari e shrimp strepitosa, tendera bella warm and thick!! Actually, it's a nice discovery next time.
We stayed on June 2 at lunch, I must say that we felt at home. exquisite and abundant dishes, fried at the Top, prices
A good dinner of fish in a seaside resort, on a building in raised wood and simply furnished, with colors and the marine atmosphere. Nice and friendly manager Picchio who provided appetizers and advised us on the choice of other dishes. We were in six and we started with delicate octopus salad, mini eggplant parmigiana with mozzarella and salmon, excellent steam shrimp with tomato and fresh onion on carasau bread (joined on a single tray but already disposed in small quantities and sauté of mussels. First of all: delicious gnocchetti with clams, asparagus and pachino, well seasoned spaghetti with real clams and a little too much to the tooth shalatielli with prawns and porcini. What seconds: delicious frying of paranza, not too tender calamaro to the plate and tasty spigola to the oven. What contours: crispy and golden fries and mixed salad to suit. The portions are not huge but well presented and you will still feel satiated. Including water and half liter of white house you will spend little more than 25€ per head and you will definitely spend a pleasant evening.
Biblical times for a dish of spaghetti with clams... more than an hour. Good food quality, however I will not return.
