Ables' B-que - Antlers
Ables' B-que
Description
The restaurant, known for its vibrant BBQ décor, has faced a striking divergence in quality. Many diners report inconsistency in both food and service; ribs have been described as greasy and unappetizing, while brisket often disappoints with toughness and a lack of smoky flavor. Although some meals, such as curly fries and corn nuggets, received positive notes, other dishes have left patrons feeling unwell or underwhelmed. While a few visitors continue to rave about exceptional BBQ experiences, the overall sentiment suggests the establishment is grappling with quality control issues, leaving many longing for past dining experiences.

The service and food at this restaurant need improvement. I live in Antlers and my first visit was great, but the second visit was not as good. On the third visit, we had to walk out because we couldn't get anyone to wait on us. There was only one other couple in the restaurant besides us. Another time, they pureed our food even though we have teeth. Despite these experiences, Rodeo BBQ came to the rescue.
Amazing taste and quality BBQ. Best I've had in Ok, Ak, and TX. I was hungry and very pleasantly surprised. The staff was above and beyond and the food left me satisfied.
The restaurant has a fantastic décor that is typical of a BBQ place. My family enjoyed the corn nuggets and the ranch dressing that came with them. I ordered the meat combo plate with curly fries, and I thought the fries were the highlight of the meal. While the pork ribs were a bit dry, they were the best tasting ribs I've had at a BBQ restaurant. The pulled pork seemed to be ground and was quite fatty, while the brisket was dry and tasted more like roast than brisket. However, the BBQ sauce provided at the table was delicious and sweet, and complemented all of the meats well. Overall, a good dining experience.
