I paid $25 for a... read more This restaurant has been steadily declining since it was located on Contra Loma. The prices are too high for the tiny food portions they serve. I paid $25 for an oxtail plate, which consisted of just two small pieces of tail and two empty bones. They might as well raise the prices a bit more to provide a reasonable portion size. It's simply not worth the cost!

We sampled a variety of dishes including fried fish, fried chicken, pork ribs, cabbage, jambalaya, green beans, potatoes, cornbread, and beignets. Every bite was incredibly tasty!

I can only imagine how much better it would have been with a crunchy crust. The ribs were excellent and stayed intact during the trip. I really enjoyed the collard greens, though I would have appreciated a piece of pork with them. Unfortunately, the rice was the weakest part of the meal, as it had a watery texture.
