Piper's is a bit of an odd place: it is a little on the scuzzy side, but it holds a very special place in the Antigonish heart. The food is not the greatest, but if you want to interact with the locals - this is the place to do it. The pub during the school year and the summer are two very different places. i made 2 visits to Pipers this summer. One I thought was a guaranteed fun time, the night of the Kilted. IT was sadly a dead night but fortunately, it only takes a few good friends at a table and a good band to dance to to save the night for us at least.The food we had was nothing to get excited about.The second night was the Beach Party with Daryl MacLean....MUCH better. A LOUD Pub with so so food (Pub Food I guess). Stopped in for supper maybe it was the band but NOT a memorable experience. A very good server!
Local spot found by accident on tour everyone at the bar was eating fish and chips so that's what we had delicious wattress couldn't be nicer fun
